2023 year-end dinner party 🎊
At LatticeWorkInc we accidentally went three years without a “proper” year-end party. No big event, no stage, just work rolling from one year into the next.
What we did have, though, was a weekly status meeting with the CEO, Pantas Sutardja. Our team seems to be the only one with that setup. At first I treated it like a mini exam every week; over time it turned into a normal checkpoint where we talk through what moved and what got stuck.
A few quiet lessons for me:
- Most weeks don’t feel special, but they still add up.
- Small updates beat grand plans that never ship.
- Saying out loud what you did (or didn’t do) keeps you honest in a good way.
So when we finally had the 2023 dinner, it felt less like a big celebration and more like pressing pause with people I see all the time. Good food, some laughs, no slides, and a nice way to close another loop.
